My Public Speech on the UK Government and Media’s Attack on Muslim Gender Segregation

Here is my response to the UK Government and media’s attack on Muslim gender segregation, and the intolerance of the Islamic practices of the Muslim minority of the UK.

The title of the event was ‘Muslim Women’s Unified Response to the Attack of Gender Segregation’. The event was attended by a panel of female Muslim speakers, including myself (Zara Faris, Muslim Debate Initiative), Yvonne Ridley (journalist), a sister representing Hizb ut Tahrir, Fatima Barakatulla (iERA) and Aisha Azri (UCL ISOC). The event was hosted at the Waterlily, London, on 20th December 2014.
