Women and the Mosque [VIDEO]

On 24th February 2018, at Cheadle Mosque [Manchester, UK], I delivered a lecture on the importance of reviving the Prophetic legacy particularly with respect to women’s relationship with the mosque.

In the lecture, I discussed the Islamic viewpoint on women attending mosques from the time of the Prophet Muhammed (s) and, throughout Muslim history, how improvements in city planning, mosque architecture, and even the Muslim home, were designed and developed to better accommodate Muslim women’s needs. I also discussed how mosques in the UK and elsewhere, can be approached and advised on how to revive the Prophetic model to cater for Muslim women, and the wider Muslim community.
