Lecture: What Does Islam Say About Female Leaders? (New Zealand)

As part of my recent New Zealand tour, I spoke at the IWCNZ (Islamic Women’s Council of New Zealand) Conference, “Passing the Torch”, on the topic of Women and Leadership in Islam.

This included discussions of concepts of power, different kinds of leadership, and well known ahadith (sayings of the Prophet (pbuh)) on the matter of female leadership. This lecture and the Q&A is now available to watch online below and on YouTube.

The event took place on 8th February 2015, at Kaiapoi Blue Skies Conference Centre, in Christchurch (New Zealand).
